We ask that anyone taking part in the Skrill community forum show respect and encourage an atmosphere of learning, safety, and tolerance towards everyone.
Our community is powered by volunteers, so we kindly ask that you are civil and thoughtful towards everyone when you respond.
Our hope for the Skrill community forum is that it becomes a vital source of knowledge for our community of users and that it encourages information sharing, helpful tips, and will act as a resource for troubleshooting minor problems.
To achieve this goal, we have established some key do’s and don’ts with regards to the Skrill community forum.
What we ask of you:
-
Stay on topic and try and keep to the subject at hand when asking questions and replying. This includes posting the topic in the right thread.
-
Answer the question posed in the post, or contribute meaningfully to the discussion when you reply. Try not to give pointless replies.
-
Refrain from using offensive or sensitive topics as a form of humour or as a discussion point.
-
Keep your personal information private, and respect other’s right to privacy.
-
Flag and report any issues that you see to the Skrill community admins.
-
Respond to the topic, and not the person. Feel free to criticise an idea, but keep it constructive, do not resort to personal attacks, and do not respond to the tone of the post rather than its content.
What we do not tolerate:
-
Cyberbullying of any kind, including doxing.
-
Posting content that is unlawful, illegal, threatening, libellous, obscene, prejudicial or in any way objectionable or in breach of confidence or copyright.
-
Posts intended to ‘troll’ other users.
-
Spamming, flooding or harassing other users with repeat posts and replies.
-
Creation of multiple accounts, or attempting to impersonate others, including Skrill staff.
-
Advertising goods or services for sale, including offers to trade, and links to the same.
Discrimination may relate to, but is not limited to:
-
Sexual orientation
-
Gender, gender identity and gender expression
-
Disability
-
Race
-
Age
-
Religion and creed
-
Physical appearance
Skrill operates a zero-tolerance policy with regards to our Community Guidelines, and we reserve the right to remove any posts that are in breach. If you are found to be in breach of the Community Guidelines we may suspend or remove your account temporarily or, for more serious offences, permanently.
Furthermore, we reserve the right to merge or remove subjects that have already been dealt with.
It is vital that we all adhere to these rules in order to foster an atmosphere of free, open and honest information sharing, to encourage new users to get involved in the conversation, and to provide a tool for the community to collectively identify good (and bad) additions to the Skrill platform and app.
